Description

This is a kit for building and experimenting with portable multiband groundplane vertical antennas for ham radio. It is designed for a 8m Fiberglass Pole with a lower outer diameter of about 43mm. It has a ground plate with an SO293 connector and screw terminals to attach ground radial wires. On top there is the driven plate which can drive up to 4 radiating wires. The radiating wires go up a fiber glass pole and pass through guide plates. You may want to edit the diameters to fit your particular mast. FreeCAD files are included as well. Use some bungee cord to attach the wires to the mast top to keep them slightly tentioned. If all wires are tuned correctely, the antenna is selfselecting the suitable wires for the respecting band. The design was heavily inspired by the awesome work of MM0MCX from DX-Commander Check out his website and YT-Channel for more infos and awesome content.

UPDATE: Changed the spreader plates for better distancing and added a new top spreader to allow for 10m on 40m radiator. Please use only the files with prefix "new_" for the spreader pates, the other plates are deprecated but left here anyways.

Also added a Spreadsheet with wire length calculations for a 40m+10m element, 30m and 20m. You may want to adjust the radiators in place to match your desired frequencies. I use about 20 2m Radials from copper wire. More is better, but it works well.
