FR7 v5.x Frame Files

• Only the latest and greatest cut files will be posted. Old files will be removed.

• v5.1: Updated front plate 20x20 pattern to accommodate the DJI Vista Canopy

• Changes:

  • v5 is roughly 50 grams lighter (carbon) than the v4 frame.
  • Arms narrowed down, arm ends reshaped, lightening cutouts added at plate
    interface.
  • Added center clamping fastener for arms.
  • Rear plate has incorporated the lessons learned from the FRH design.
  • Front and Top Plate lengths have been increased by 12mm in order to accommodate
    the Hero 8 Superview FOV, eliminating props from view. Plates are still compatible
    with v4 prints.
  • Added a second set of rear standoffs.
  • Updated rear plate geometry (created flats) to accommodate a battery strap running
    under the stack.
  • Rear lower battery strap slot moved fwd in order to eliminate routing issues when
    using the rear stack.
  • Recommended Top Plate thickness updated from 2.5mm to 2mm with the addition of
    the second set of rear standoffs.
  • Backwards compatible with v4 arms.
  • Backwards compatible with all v4 prints with the exception of the arm ends and skids,
    unless using the OG v5 arms.
  • It should be noted that the addition of the second set of rear standoffs and the
    increase in length of the front plate may or may not be compatible with the DJI Air Unit Camera cable length. It may necessitate the removal of the newly added rear
    standoffs and/or extend the cable length.
