Description
Here's my proxy model for Alienoid from the King of Tokyo board game! This guy was a real challenge to print because of those segmented tentacle leg things. I typically avoid using top connections when designing my supports, but they're unfortunately a must here. Fortunately, they can connect to the street underneath the pelvis section, so that puts them on a nice flat surface where they're easily removed (and because they're under the model, they're not super visible). I printed this guy at 0.1 mm layers, which unfortunately makes the layer lines pretty visible (I think that the smaller nozzle actually exacerbates this a bit) and had a bit of an X axis shift around 30 mm. So, although the print has some small issues, I think that it's still perfectly good to go on the table!
As always, the .blend file and pre-supported .obj (the one that I used to print it on my Prusa mk3 with a .25 mm nozzle) for this model are available to my patrons at https://patreon.com/VirtuallyJason. If you appreciate my work and have a few dollars to spare each month, please consider joining!
