Hovercraft size is about 320(L) x 220(W) x 190(H) mm
Built using spare 5" quadcopter gear & "garbage from the top shelf" :)
Print all parts with support enabled.
Things I used besides filament:
- 2 x 2205 brushless RaceStar motors, CW and CCW
- 2 x 5042 3blade propelers (or any other 5" propellers, lower pitch for hover turbine is advised)
- 2 x 20A RaceStar BlHeli_S ESC
- Eachine TX02 combo (FPV cam + VTX 5.8/25mw)
- 2 x 9G servos
- FrSky S6R receiver (buit-in stabilization feature is a great help here)
- 3S battery
- Battery low-voltage buzzer
- 70mm (D=5mm) rod or tube for running turbine shaft
- 1100x130mm of any waterproof durable fabric
- Pair of 6x4 magnets for front cover fixation
- Pair of 5x10x4mm bearings (take apart 2 of your spinners ;)
- M3x15 and M3x10 button-head screws, M3x10 countersunk screws and lot of M3 nuts :)
Use Skirt.PDF for the skirt template. Draw it on fabric, cut with scissors & glue to plastic frame. I did it in this order:
- SkirtButtomRear, ...RR, ...RL, ...Fwd
- BaseFwd+BaseRear (fix with countersunk screws)
- SkirtTopRR, ...RL, ...FR, ...FL
- Fix base & Skirt to hovercraft body with screws.
