Description

This is insert plate for Triton routers (M0F001 & TRA001), to change it, in to table router. It can be used the same way, as other commercial products with any custom router table, but I've also created for myself Bosch GTS10 saw template.

It's designed to be CNC milled from stiff material like bakelite (baekelite, phenolic), but it would probably also work with plywood with some reinforcements. Bakelite is quite easy to machine, so any CNC will do (even cheapest Chinese one).
You can, of course, use aluminium plate - but I'm not sure if this will be any better then bakelite and it will be definitely much more expensive.

Perhaps it can also be printed (not tested how stiff it would be) or printed with spares infill and filled with epoxy resin (this I've tested with various CNC holders - works great).

Anyway, bakelite plate for this project (34x26cm 10mm) costed me like 11$.

Smaller, round inserts, can easily be printed with any material.

Required components:

  • bakelite plate, at least 30x23cm (this are exact dimension - if you want to mill it to size, it has to be bigger) 10mm thickness
  • 4 x M6, 20-25mm long screws to hold Triton - actually router has inches not metric screws - but I've retapped it for M6 - works without a problem.
  • 8 round magnets 8x2mm - this are to hold and release smaller inserts and to hold depth meter
  • additionally M4 headless screw to level plate on corners

I've prepared also design for bigger 21mm thick, plywood plate for Bosch saw. But you can just cut it on saw and use hand router to create recess (10mm bit - this is corner radius), but since I've build myself recently large enough CNC router - I've used it.
