Description
I noticed several of the pieces on the STEMFIE rubberband car could be cut with a laser as opposed to being 3D printed. In my setup, this saved me between 1 1/2 and 2 hours of print time.
The original files call for 3.125 mm thick material, but I have had decent results with content that ranges in thickness from 2.9 - 3.1 mm. As the number of parts available for this system grows more substantial, this may or may not become an issue.
For the best results, I suggest using 3mm acrylic.
I have also included an STL with all of the parts that you still need to 3D print to make the model.
