Description
For mounting the EZOut v2 Filament Runout Sensor directly to a Micro Swiss Direct Drive.
Important Note
You should install a bowden tube leading into the sensor. If you do not do this when you run out of filament and it comes off the spool it can curl up and the end of the filament can go into a fan, wedge itself under a wheel, or go into the print. The bowden tube keeps the filament out of the way until it is completely used up. I suggest the cheapest 4 mm bowden tube with 2+ mm inner diameter. Getting a 1.9 mm ID bowden is adding unneeded resistance to the filament. The length of the bowden is left to the best judgement. Make sure it is not so long it is wrapping around the spool when printing at max height.
Firmware Changes
You need to set your firmware to not unload the filament when it detects it has run out. Whatever that setting may be on your firmware. If you don't do this the filament might get jammed in the sensor stripping the filament or breaking the sensor.
