The simple COVID mask

Hi all,

Like everybody in Europe, i'm facing a lack of protective gear. As an individual, it is not a big issue because i must stay at home.
For my wife however, this is another story, she is in the front line as emergency nurse, and the vital protective supply is going to run out.

I took a look for printed masks as simple as possible, but i didn't found anything. I am not saying there is nothing, but the designs i saw needed several / fragile parts and assembly.

That's why i made a one part mask. On it you can put anything you want (cloth, towel, cotton...) It is held in place with a rubber band.

Once the part is printed, you must do the following:

• Check if the mask is roughly covering your face. If not, heat it with an hot air gun to give it the right shape.
• Once it is done, add some adhesive foam to have a better fitting and confort.
• Check for air leaks by obstruct the output and adjust the foam if necessary.
• Find some rubber bands or rope to attach the mask on your face.

I have tried with doubled layered dish towel and it is working fine. I will try with vaccum cleaner bag soon...
