Description:

This is an ultra-light face shield composed of two parts:

• a 3D printed frame (PETG)
• a transparent shield cut from transparent binding covers (PVC)

Features:

• ultra light and comfortable
• NEW in version 3: better stability and shape of the shield when wearing
• NEW in version 3: can be cut from a 4mm thick sheet with a laser (file dxf)
• NEW in version 3: Can be stacked, you can change the number of pieces by modifying the stacked.scad file ( default settings for 0.8mm nozzle diameter) or if you have a 0.8mm nozzle you may find the stacked.stl, ready to print
• You can put a standard cotton napkin on the forehead part for extra comfort
• can be printed on small 3D printers
• shield uses standard A4 4 holes punch dimensions
• print time around 30 minutes, cut time around 1 min
• protects the whole face from splashes and flying particles
• doesn't need any strap to stay still on the face but if needed you can add some elastic bands
• you can wear glasses and mask without issue
• doesn't get foggy even wearing a mask
• Italian design

Instructions to make the face shield:

Print the frame with 20% infill, preferably in PETG material (frame_blue_crosses)

Shield uses standard 4 holes punches for A4 format.

Cut the shield from a transparent binding cover (thickness 180 microns) using a Silhouette Cameo equipped with rotary blade (shield.studio3) :

• Blade depth: 5
• Speed: 4
• Passes: 3
• Force: 20

! If you don't have a Silhouette Cameo print the shield_stencil.pdf and cut manually the binding cover

Or you can use a standard A4 4 holes puncher

Instructions to assemble the face shield:

Push the holes of the shield onto the pins. Put the sides of the shield in the slots on the sides. Add elastic bands if needed. Add a rolled napkin on the forehead part for extra comfort

Instructions to clean the face shield

The face shield can be disinfected using chemicals or irradiation (please check depending on the material you use), not suitable for autoclave.
