Covid-19 CARETA PROTECCIÓN / Face splash mask

Diseño de careta para uso de personal de salud principalmente para protección contra salpicaduras de pacientes con covid-19 o sospecha del virus.

Este diseñó se ha modificando, prototipado y validado varias veces durante las ultimas 3 semanas desde (23/marzo/2020) hasta ya obtener una versión final gracias al trabajo conjunto con personal de salud quienes nos dieron su apreciación y recomendaciones para el mejoramiento de los diseños, estos elementos fueron expuestos a métodos de desinfección en diferentes instituciones medicas de la ciudad de Popayán - Colombia, dando un buen resultado.

Es importante aclarar que los accesorios son denominados de contingencia y deben ser
utilizados ante el desabastecimiento de insumos médicos. Nuestra recomendación es que estos accesorios sean tratados como DESECHABLES.

Como respuesta a la presente emergencia provocada por la propagación del nuevo
coronavirus un grupo de Makers, empresarios, estudiantes, docentes y ciudadanos nos
reunimos para buscar como aportar a las vastas necesidades que nuestra sociedad pasa
por estos días y es así como desde nuestro conocimiento hemos elaborado estos
“accesorios de contingencia para la protección del personal de salud quienes se exponen
día a día a un posible contagio de Covid-19.

Las pruebas de desinfección que se ha validado hasta el momento han sido con los siguientes elementos por parte del personal de salud:
-Desinfectante Virucida VIRKON™ S.
-Desinfectante KLORKLEEN.

Por parte de los métodos de desinfección para los fabricantes(MAKERS) se han utilizado lo siguiente:

-Mezcla de CLORO y agua en proporción 1/10.
-Vinagre blanco.
-Agua y jabón.

MATERIALES UTILIZADOS PARA EL ENSAMBLE:

-Careta Antisapicaduras Covid-19.
-Lámina de Acetato de 30x26cm, recomendado que sea calibre #8 o #10.... si no puedes encontrar este calibre tambien puedes usar del acetato que se vende en block tamaño carta.
-Resorte o caucho, preferiblemente un caucho que se pueda desinfectar ya que el resorte al tener proceso de desinfección suele desgastarse o dañarse fácilmente.

Pasos de ensamble:

1- Imprimir el diseño 3d Covid-19 Face splash mask.
2-Cortar una lámina de acetato de 30x26 cm, recomendado que sea calibre #8 o #10 .
3-Ensamblar la lámina de acetato con el marco de impresión 3D, hacer un pequeño orificio con bisturí al acetato en los bloques que lo van a sostener, esto para mayor seguridad de que no se mueva en ningún momento.
4-Ingresar y ajustar el caucho o resorte a la medida de la cabeza de la persona que va a usar este elemento.

IMPRESIÓN 3D:

-0.26 de altura de capa y 20% de relleno, 16 gramos de material , 45 minutos a 1 hora 15 de impresión dependiendo de las configuraciones e impresora a utilizar, velocidad de impresión: 80 a 110 mm/s.

Mask design for use by health personnel mainly for protection against splashes of patients with covid-19 or suspected virus.

This design has been modified, prototyped and validated several times during the last 3 weeks from (23 / March / 2020) until we obtain a final version thanks to the joint work with health personnel who gave us their appreciation and recommendations for the improvement of the designs, these elements were exposed to disinfection methods in different medical institutions in the city of Popayán - Colombia, giving a good result.

It is important to clarify that the accessories are called contingency and must be
used before the shortage of medical supplies. Our recommendation is that these accessories be treated as DISPOSABLE.

In response to the present emergency caused by the spread of the new
coronavirus a group of Makers, entrepreneurs, students, teachers and citizens us
we meet to find how to contribute to the vast needs that our society passes
these days and that is how from our knowledge we have elaborated these
"Contingency accessories for the protection of health personnel who are exposed
day by day to a possible contagion of Covid-19.

The disinfection tests that have been validated so far have been with the following elements by health personnel:
-VIRKON ™ S Virucidal Disinfectant.
-KLORKLEEN disinfectant.

For the disinfection methods for manufacturers (MAKERS) the following have been used:

-Mix of CHLORINE and water in 1/10 ratio.
-White vinegar.
-Water and soap.

MATERIALS USED FOR THE ASSEMBLY:

-Covid-19 Anti-Splash Hatch.
-30x26cm Acetate Sheet, recommended to be # 8 or # 10 gauge .... if you can't find this gauge you can also use the acetate that is sold in letter size block.
-Spring or rubber, preferably a rubber that can be disinfected since the spring, having a disinfection process, usually wears out or is easily damaged.

Assembly steps:

1- Print the 3d design Covid-19 Face splash mask.
2-Cut an acetate sheet of 30x26 cm, recommended to be # 8 or # 10 gauge.
3-Assemble the acetate sheet with the 3D printing frame, make a small hole with a scalpel to the acetate in the blocks that will hold it, this for greater security that it does not move at any time.
4-Enter and adjust the rubber or spring to the measure of the head of the person who is going to use this element.

3D PRINT:

-0.26 layer height and 20% filling, 16 grams of material, 45 minutes to 1 hour 15 of printing depending on the settings and printer to be used, printing speed: 80 to 110 mm / s.
