A fan duct for Creality Ender 5. It supports single or dual 5015 fans. I've used it for a while and it works fine. It's fairly easy to print and assemble. Should you break any part, it's quick to print again. It's not screwed on the backplate, it only hangs on the side brackets, but it sits firmly in place nonetheless. This is very much a work in progress, so please consider that if you print it.

• Minimize air from hot-end fan on part
• Easy to remix/modify

Instructions:

Materials:

• 4 x M3 screws for the hot-end fan. The original hot-end fan screws will do.
• 4 x M2 screws for the cable holder and lifters. The original part cooling fan screws will do.
• 2 x M3x20mm screws. These are for securing the 5015 fans.

Prints:

I highly suggest using PETG as some parts will require some force to assemble. PLA might work, but I have not tried it.

• 1 x Left side bracket.stl
• 1 x Right side bracket.stl
• 1 x Cable holder.stl
• 2 x Part fan bracket lifter.stl
• 2 x 5015 Part fan bracket.stl
• 2 x 5015 Fan nozzle.stl (You need to mirror one copy)

Optional:

• 2 x 5015 fan cover.stl (You need to mirror one copy)

Assembly

I've probably missed something in this list, but it's fairly easy to assemble.

1. Hang left/right side bracket over the backplate.
2. Attach the hot-end cooling fan with all 4 screws.
3. Attach the part fan bracket lifters onto 5015 part fan bracket
4. Slide the 5015 part fan bracket into the slots on the left/right side bracket.
5. Slide the 5015 fan nozzle into onto the 5015 part fan bracket, on both sides.
6. Attach the 5015 fans.
7. Attach the 5015 fan cover.
8. Screw 5015 fans in place.
9. Attach the cable holder.
10. Use a small cable tie to secure the cables.
11. Use adjust the fan nozzle using the screws on the lifters.

Issues

Here's a list of the things I'm focusing on at the moment.

• Nozzle isn't focused enough
• 5015 brackets doesn't allow for much adjustment (nozzle too short)
• 5015 covers are flimsy
