Mason Jar Lid for Sourdough Starter

Il coperchio è pensato per il tipo di vaso generico (come i Bormioli) con un'apertura di diametro esterno di circa ~112 mm (con inclusa la filettatura). Penso sia possibile adattarlo anche ad altri diametri solo scalando il modello e mantenendo le proporzioni. Altre informazioni sulla stampa sono in "Print Setting" :)

In questi giorni di quarantena mi sono cimentata nel design di un tappo apposta per il vasetto del mio lievito madre, in modo che possa respirare attraverso la grossa apertura al centro. Per evitare che potessero entrare moscerini o polvere ho aggiunto una piccola ansa circolare e un anello con cui bloccare un pezzo di stoffa, io ho usato dell'organza ma va bene anche cotone, basta che non sia troppo spesso. Il tessuto può essere bloccato anche con un elastico, come si vede in foto, l'anello perciò non è necessario (ma molto stiloso!).

The mason jar I had at home has a diameter of ~112 mm (threading included). I think that just scaling the 2 pieces might work for different diameters. Other infos in "Print Setting".

I made this lid specifically for fermenting a sourdough starter, letting it breathes through the big opening at the top. To prevent anything to contaminate the sourdough i made a little nook and a hoop to fasten a piece of fabric (i used a sintetic one, but cotton or cheese cloth works just fine). The fabric can be fastened with just a rubber band, the hoop is not necessary (but very stylish!).
