The Clone Wars Pre Vizsla Darksaber Dark Saber NOW with printable blade

During the Covid 19 Lockdown I was able to restart and complete the Clone Wars on Disney +. I immediately became fascinated with the Darksaber as soon as it made its appearance in the show. Looking around Thingiverse I could not find a model that quite matched it as if appeared on the show, so I tried to make my own with a little extra detailing. The one From the Clone wars was significantly longer in its first appearance as well as having the heavily serrated blade emitter with its 10 ridges. The bases of the handle was also rather extended having 8 ridges wrapping around it. I designed the rest of the hilt and emitter to be modular so you can make it as long or as short as you like. The body of the print is solid except for paths running for full length to insert a 1/8 inch steel rod that you can picked up at your local big box hardware store for under $4. This both stiffens and aligns the pieces as well as giving it the strength to support a custom blade should you wish to add that using 1/4" wood, aluminum, or plexiglass. My Plexi is on order. This is my first full size prop design and I am rather happy with it.

After getting a request for a printable blade I put a simple one together.
You will need to print;
1, part one, this slides into the emitter.
4-6, Blade segments. Each is 5 inches long.
1, Blade tip. The total length of the tip is 10 inches. I included two files. One is cut into two 5 inch pieces, the other is a single long part depending on the size of your printer.

There are two tunnels through the blade pieces that will allow you to insert 1/8 metal rods for strength and alignment.
