Description
Connect HONEYWELL NORTH CARTRIDGE to a 3M BAYONET-STYLE RESPIRATOR.
If you want to connect a Honeywell North P100 RWS-54041 Cartridge to the bayonet-style connectors on 3M brand respirators (example: 3M 6800 Full-Face Respirator), then have I got the STL file for you.
I was able to find a pair of Honeywell North P100 RWS-54041 Cartridges, but I own a non-compatible 3M respirator. This converter was my solution.
Honeywell North Cartridge Thread Specs: M26 x 1.57
I know the 3M Bayonet-Style connection is extremely common across a large variety of 3M respirator models.
I would assume there are other models of Honeywell/Honeywell North cartridges that use the same thread, and that this converter would work on those.
The threads seem to allow the converter to snug up quite well against the cartridge, but rubber or silicone gaskets should still be used to decrease the likelihood of a containment breach.
Obviously, any respiratory-safety-related equipment you print on a 3D printer should be used with great caution in a high-risk, contaminated environment. Use your best judgement. Do some research. Do NOT get yourself killed.
I mean, I used TinkerCAD to mangle two meticulously-designed, high-precision models into my hideous equivalent of Frankenstein's monster. Clearly, I am not a trusted authority in this field. I humbly submit this design in the off chance that it may help someone else.
