Nozzle, low pressure

Various nozzles for low pressure watering (estimated at 0.5 - 1.0 bar).

Hose connection is barbed and designed for 10 mm hose (inner diameter).

The objective was to create a nozzle that is able to water my plants from 0.6 m above.

• Wide coverage (0.36 m2).
• Soft water droplets.
• High waterflow.
• Funtion properly with a low pressure (12vdc pump).

Through testing i have learned and used the following:

The nozzle is build out of 3 integrated nozzles with 3 features.

These integrated nozzles come together at a specific distance and angle and tip diameter,
This creates a colision and breaks the waterstream in droplets.

• Distance: sloped pressure build up and a directed stream.
• Angle: sets the spray area, smaller angle is a wider spray area.
• Diameter: sets the exit pressure, this controls the droplet size most.

Creating a water mist is possible with these nozzles by using a higher pressure pump.
