Description
This is the 'Cover Up' puzzle, with 4 sets of 4 pieces (Cover Up 1, 2, 3, & 4). The goal is to fit the pieces from each of Cover Up 1, 2, 3, and 4 inside the box and make sure all of the gaps in the box (including the large one on top) have pieces behind them. In other words, every gap must be covered up. It may be a little trickier than it seems... Or not, I don't know. You tell me what you think. You might want to print the four sets of pieces in different colors, so you do not get confused on which pieces go with which set.
I redesigned the box (5/31/2020) to remove the bevel that used to go all the way around the box and changed the connector joints. There are 5 options for the box. I would suggest going with joint_inset of 0.01 to 0.025 and offset of 0.20, though 0.15 will work for the better 3D printers out there. You will want the pieces to be able to move inside of the box, so you do not want a really tight fit. The box uses snap together joints and does not need any supports. You may need a clamp to force the joints together.
The '.scad' file used to generate the STL files using OpenSCAD combined with Puzzlecad (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3198014) is included. It can generate all of the puzzle pieces and the box.
I also included the BurrTools file that only shows the pieces for each of Cover Up 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Enjoy!
