11/06/2020 - Tested with 85a shore TPU (black tires). Printed with no issues and much better grip.

First design of flexible tires for this car I have seen out there and performs better than expected. Designed with extremely care of every single detail, tires don't need to be printed with any support by your slicer, I already added some kind of support that save material, save time in printing, improve the end quality and they are very easy to remove if you want to. And another great detail is you DON'T need to glue them to the rims, I managed to design them to make the perfect fit and also some little gap/pins on both, then you just have to match them together when assemble. I know is not easy to do it sometimes because tires are not as flexible as the originals but do not worry, while driving your car they will engage together if they slip.

IMPORTANT: I recommend rotate rims 180º before printing, so the hex nut base faces down and add just a bit of support to that part with your slicer.

As they are the same size (or almost) to the original ones, they should fit on the original rims as well, but I recommend to print the ones I designed along with the 12mm hex. In case you are interested in printing the Rim, I uploaded two different types, is up to you which one you want:

A_979_Rim.stl - Aprox. same size and width compared with the original WLtoys Rims. This is what I actually use.

A_979_Rim_wide.stl - New design to increase the width about 0,6mm, so your car will be 1.2 cm wider, that means it will be more stable. (Not tested yet)

TPU I used to print them is Shore 88A. In concrete soil or asphalt it will perform as it if you were driving on a kind of wet floor. You are going to have a lot of fun skipping!! and last but not least, they perform amazingly well in any off-road terrain.

Riding your RC Car is a pleasure, but nothing compares to ride it with your own 3D printed rims and tires ;-).
