Footpads for onewheel XR designed to be taped to stock footpads. Note that I'm posting this with the Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike license
Everyone sells expensive replacement footpads, but I wanted something I could make more cheaply. The result (partially due to COVID-19 time available), is one of the most detailed 3d objects that I've ever made. As you can see from the 123d screenshot, there are multiple versions for front and back, multiple thicknesses, a split low piece for the front. I have also included the STL files for the pieces I printed.
This is designed to be printed in TPU or another flexible filament! The final object needs to be able to conform to the board, and in the case of the front piece, the flexibility is critical to put pressure onto the activation switches. TPU is not that "grippy," especially when wet, so your mileage may vary.
On that note, does the front split footpad work? If you weigh 180lbs and put your foot on an angle to that it crossed through the thin part of the pad, then yes, it turns on 99% on the first try. If you ride with foot perpendicular and put it out to the edge where pad is thickest, pressure will go through to the edge of the board and it will not turn on.
