Crochet Figure Stand

Support stand I created for crochet or amigurumi figures. Requires separate nail hardware.

In searching for stands, most were made to either support a peg in the foot for action figures or grip the figure at the waist or neck. My crochet figures don't really fit the normal sizes and methods for these other stands so I created my own unique solution: skewering.

The unique property of yarn is that you can pierce them fairly easily without ruining the figure so I realized the best way to support a character was by creating a base support and then connecting it to the figure by stabbing them in the back.

The stand is 72.5 mm high (just under 3") with two hole options at 66 mm (2.6") and 46mm (1.8"). This allows for a couple options depending on the size of the figure and where the nail can most easily support it.

The nail holes are 2.6mm in diameter with a 4mm sink for the head. I'm using 1" panel board nails that I had left over from an old project. This set from Amazon appears to be close to what i'm using:
