Description
This is YASH (Yet Another Spool Holder) for the Ender-3 printer.
ATTENTION: This modification is intended for early generation spool holders only!
There are so many good spool holders out there but I had to design my own :-)
The Ender-3 comes with a low diameter holder that causes high friction on the spool when rotating. In my opinion too much friction making the extruder motor work more than it should. Some designs use ball bearings which is a good solution but I'm afraid that due to some freak circumstance the spool could unroll itself and the filament gets tangled on some part of the printer.
Therefore my goal was to make something easy to print and give the spool some friction but too much the extruder motor couldn't handle.
Be warned!
YASH tube is intended to be printed in vase mode. Although it looks simple to print not every slicer can slice this object correctly. Therefore please pay attention to the slicer settings found below.
The YASH Cap is printed in standard mode.
Spools with a hole diameter bigger than 51mm can be mounted on YASH.
File "YASH_51_V1.0_Leo_N.stl" took 1:15h to print.
