Ultimate Mavic Mini phone holder.

This Mavic Mini phone holder features a hinged sun hood which can be flipped up to allow easy removal of the phone from the holder. The phone I hold in place with two x 20mm Velcro Dots which I find hold it securely enough in place to resist the sort of everyday bumps knocks and shaking you'd ever be likely to subject an r/c controller to.

The hinge is printed in place and for the hinge pin I used a short length of 1.75mm dia PLA filament but that can be swapped for a metal pin if you have any suitable material to hand.

Note the "bridge" on the bottom tray over the hole where the phone's USB connection to the controller is. That bridge looks like a good enough idea at first glance and helps overcome a tricky printing overhand situation but I actually snipped the bridge off on mine which makes inserting the phone's USB lead a doddle. Passing the lead through a hole and plugging it in can be awkward... snipping the bridge off after printing makes it a breeze and I haven't seen any noticable increase in the amout of light being reflected off the screen.

One very nice thing about this phone holder is that it allows a full range of movement on the coptroller sticks, keeps all the controller buttons on display, yet works perfectly with the super-short USB lead that the controller comes with... no need to go out and buy a longer hard-to-find cable for me. :-)

Needless to say I suggest you print at least the sunhood part with black filament.

The all-in-one model prints fine but I split it into two pieces in case anone wanted to make modifications to either part.
