Foot Operated Hand Sanitizer Pump

As the world gradually copes better with the current Covid-19 crisis and starts to open up cautiously, keeping clean with the increased use of disinfectant has never been more important.

To this end, we were inspired by some non-electric, foot-operated ones which can be used in public areas to allow people to get a nice squirt of disinfectants without having to touch the bottle or apparatus with their hands.

Hence, in this design we make use of commonly available PVC pipes, of two types - (1) the thicker of outer diameter 25mm, internal diameter ~21mm and (2) a thinner, inner one of outer diameter ~20mm and internal diameter ~16mm. The latter set up to slide inside the thicker outer pipe.

There are two variants for the holder sized to fit bottles of ~80mm diameter. The one with cut away walls can have its bottle further reinforced using zipties.

An assembly diagram has been provided for greater clarity on how all the pieces fit together.
