Description
Update: I'm running 285mm long arms on my machine (my design) so the 100mm stabilisers work perfectly for me. Since I've gotten reports that people using the standard arms have problem with these I've gone ahead and released a couple of 85mm versions (v7) that you can also find here. But if you use my arms you should be fine with v5.
The FLSUN QQ-S structure is pretty weak, and this is my attempt at making it a bit sturdier. The model simply slides on to the rods and covers the stock rod fasteners at the base of the machine. It keeps the rod together and prevents some of the twisting that could otherwise occur. Of course it doesn't fix everything, but I believe it's a step in the right direction.
The triangular cutouts in the model are primarily decorative, but also serves as a place to hide the layer seam and make the finished models prettier. I used PLA to print mine as it's very rigid, but I'm sure pretty much any material could be used. The design is meant to be a snug fit.
Credit also goes to Dino Kasupovic as these are inspired on his original design, but reworked from scratch for better fit and functionality. The STEP-file is also attached in case you want to make any modifications yourself.
Replace the original screws with M4x10mm ones and make sure to also screw them in from the sides so that you get some extra grip on the rods.
