Low profile slim XLR connectors (male-female)

I always liked to mount my audio interface underneath the desk to get some free real estate on my desk, but I always had to mount it 8cm -10cm (3"-4") behind the edge so that I don't bump onto the XLR connector all the time. Which worked fine, but made it a pain to adjust on the fly.

I was looking for a solution to the problem, but right angle XLR seemed to add alot of leverage if I ever bumped it, and I was worried I would break something.

I was looking for a low profile male XLR connector and I only found it available from cabletechniques, but the price was way too expensive for a single connector.

So I decided to design my own inspired by their design.
I use the original "pin assembly" from my cable to make the connection and designed around that.

This should work as long as the connector shield is use for electrical connection.
