Yaesu FT-4X Battery Clip

An FT-4x battery clip. I use this as a sort of portable charger. It only provides contact spaces for the outer contacts on the back of the battery. I just use a lot of solder to make up the contacts in the clip. Simple, not the best, but it works. There are certainly nicer ways to go about this.

It uses to the belt clip to hold it in place. I may stay in place without that depending on your contact solution. For me, solder is not going to hold it. Perhaps some spring loaded contacts would?

I use a current limited DC:DC 8.4v USB charger for it (connected to the DC socket on the back).

I should probably point out:

This does the same thing as most of the baofeng charging docks, just provides 8.4v (current limited) to the contacts. The middle contact is not connected (temperature? balance?) Unless there is a BMS inside the battery, no balancing of the 2 cells is happening here. All this is doing is providing a way to supply power to the contacts on the back of the battery.
