Description
These are replacement heels for some models of Z-Coil shoes. They are modeled after Mens 7T-10T and Womens 8T-12T.
I've used Nylon Bridge filament which turned out simi-flexible yet firm similar to the original rubber heels. The print needs some support for the overhang that holds the spring and can use some for the base of the treads.
After stripping off the old heel from the coil spring these fit snugly but should be adhered with some quality adhesive such as Gorilla construction.
To reduce print time and save material, if you feel comfortable with editing the Gcode file you can create 2 files, one at 100% and one at 25ish%. Combining them so the bottom 4-5 mm will be 100% at most 0.15 (Be sure to reset your filament measurement for the second half and calculate height, not just layer count)
I've also added 2 model pairs for Heel protectors. One is for nearly new Zcoil heels and the other is for quite worn heels with a slight under-pronating (common). These should be at 100% infill. The worn model is for 4mm of wear, but the print can be stopped early for less wear--around 85% onward.
For good durability, I recommend at most 0.15 layer thickness with perfect layer bonding on protectors and bottom of complete heal.
Contact cement seems to bond well to the soles and the nylon protectors.
Due to the variations of heels that I have seen on various models, it's difficult for me to guarantee a good fit, so eyeball it closely.
