Description
Makerbot Replicator 5th Gen Spool Holder Hack.
This uses the clips in the spool holding tray to mount a new universal holding system on top of the printer. It's nice that it saves space by placing the spool on top of the machine.
Glue in a piece of metal rod which fits the little hole in the middle.
It is sized so that the rod will fit through the bearings utilized in many universal spool holder. I use this one https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1241566
