Description
How personalized is your most personal piece of gear? Sure you can slap some stickers on your FPV goggles, but are they really yours? This 3D printed goggle foam aims to fix a few problems with the DJI FPV goggles by using a scan of your head to match the shape of the gasket to your face perfectly. It eliminates light leak and also allows you to adjust the position of the screens relative to your eyes to fine tune your focus.
It should also be possible to create custom 'gaskets' for other goggle types, but I don't have access to any other faceplates. I used a 3D scan of my goggles to create a simple mesh that approximates the inner shape of the goggles. I've included a parameter in the STL file for selecting gaskets for other goggle types, but the actual faceplate models will have to be filled in. If you supply me a scan of your goggle faceplate I'll try to integrate it into the project, but it might take me a while. If you want to supply me with a pair of Fatshark HDO2s, I'll gladly scan them in, but I'm not really going to hold my breath for that to happen :-).
