Description
Very simple 5x4 streamdeck style hotkey controller.
Parts Needed:
20 MX Cherry keys ( or any other mechanical key with same dimensions )
Teensy / Arduino
Micro USB to USB B Panel adapter
Thin insulated wire
Solder / Soldering Iron
Instructions:
( recommend printing top first and wiring it while base prints )
-Insert all the mechanical keys into the top of the ElGhetto
-Solder 1 peg of each button to 1 of the pegs of each other button so that 1 pin of each button is connected to eachother
-Solder a wire with length of your choosing ( use your better judgement based on the thickness of wire , there will be 20 of these and they will have to bundle up and squish into the housing )
-Solder wire from each button to a pin on the teensy / arduino
-Solder a wire from a peg that has the wire runs across all the buttons to the ground pin on the teensy / arduino
-Once bottom is done printing, screw the USB B panel adapter into it , noting the orientation of the connector if you use a 90degree cable
-Once USB B panel is screwed in , plug the adapter into the teensy and sandwich the whole thing together , the top simple pops into the base! ( you may have to sand edges of the top plate to fit into the bottom casing )
-Once it's together, upload the arduino sketch provided to it, and you should be good to go!
The ElGhetto sends F13-F24 and ALT + CTRL + numkeys in the arduino script which seems to work great for me so far with OBS and LioRan
