Description
Started this project early this year but abandoned it shortly after.
This is an experimental CNC gantry made from parts from my first 3D printer, a Prusa Mendel i2 clone. I tried to re-use as many parts as possible, like bearings, motors, rods, etc.
Rather than having the files just sit on my hard drive or in the Fusion cloud, I might as well publish them here.
This is an unfinished project, but might get someone else started. Assembled using mainly M8 and M3 screws and nuts.
A proper Z axis is missing, and the X carriage belt attachment is far from ideal. A redesign of the carriages for proper belt clamping is needed. At this stage it could probably be used for a small laser as an engraver.
