Description

These caps are a copy of a design by another company, which made these using an injection moulded process. They fit cells with top dimensions 130x36mm. This includes 75Ah, 90Ah, 105Ah cells and probably more. These LiFePO4 cells are available cheap on Aliexpress and have excellent energy density.

Features:

  • Clip on terminal cover for added safety,
  • holes for 4x M6 threaded rods for holding the pack together and mounting it to an enclosure,
  • Channels for managing BMS cables,
  • a slight air gap between the cells for improved pack cooling (note this means there is no cell compression which you may want).

Recommended print settings: Supports are required for this, see Cura screenshot for print layout. I recommend Increasing the support x-y distance to 1.2mm to make the support in the middle section of the top part easier to remove. To remove it grab/bite the support with a pair of side cutters and pull.

Edit: Added V2 of the top cover, as V1 does not fit when the cells are held together with threaded rods. V2 is also slightly thicker and has vent holes.

Edit: Added the step file from Fusion360 for those who want to modify them. Note the step file was part of a larger project so there's a bunch of broken steps contained within.
