shiny honeycomb

shiny honeycomb is a DIY lighting device made out of a laser cut structure, aluminum cooking containers that act as reflectors and standard light bulbs. The model showed here is cut in plexiglas 3mm. It could also be cut in 3mm dmf sheets. It has a modular architecture that allows for multiple configurations horizontally and vertically.

The project has been developed in a cooperative process by a team composed by Víctor Arranz Torrego, Paula Garcia, Laura Gonzalez Malingraux and Oscar Miguélez Fernández with tutors Areti Nikolopoulou and Jose Perez de Lama at "The commons factory :: plug ins at santa ana" workshop, taking place october 18-25th 2010 at Absolut Lab [Fab Lab], Madrid, Spain
