Description
(Temporary) replacement for Race Face's nylon Cinch crankset preload adjuster.
The original part is a known weak design, and the Cane Creek eeWings preload adjuster is recommended if you own any Race Face Cinch cranksets.
However, if you can't source either, this is an option to print. Seeing as the Race Face part costs ~$3, this isn't really worth making if you can get that.
Parts required:
This model is designed to be printed without threads. Installation instructions:
This was reverse engineered based on photos of the Race Face and Cane Creek adjusters as I did not have an original part to measure. The STEP file is available if anyone wants to model the threads as well. This would be useful for SLA printing. FDM can't print such fine threads, but SLA should have no issue.
This must be printed using PETG or nylon. PLA is too brittle and hard, and wil likely have layer separation when tightened.
(Pictures shown are of an older version using an M2 screw.)
