This is a Digimon Fan Build! A lot of the in training digimon forms are the perfect shape for modeling practice. Dorimon is my favorite so I modeled her out and made it into a piggy bank :D!
Below I have the step by step for making this mon.
- Modeled it in Blender, used Idea Maker to resize and position it on the 3D plate. (I had to cut it in half to print it without using a ton of supports.)
- Printed it in PLA plastic on my Tevo Tornado 3D printer and glued the pieces together with JB Weld Plastic Bonder.
- Covered it in Elmers Probond Woodfiller. (Though I recommend sanding the plastic with a rough sand paper before this step to help the wood filler stick better.
- Sanded the wood filler to smooth out the shape of Dorimon as best I could.
- Painted it with acrylic paint.
- When the paint was dry I covered the whole thing in Gloss Mod Podge to protect the paint.
