Drop Bar Control Display Adapters, CYC X1 Pro

Adapters for installing an ebike thumb throttle on drop handlebars, and the CYC X1 Pro display on the steerer tube/stem cap.

The throttle bracket fits 24mm OD drop bars. It can also be used with the generic Bafang-style throttles from other e-bike kits that have a 22.4mm clamp design that fits standard flat handlebars. It might not work with set screw style clamps as the adapter won't grip the handlebar.

Installation: Remove handlebar tape and clean the handlebar of any adhesive. Slip the adapter over one of the bar ends and into position. Install throttle onto adapter and tighten clamp until both the throttle and adapter are snug. Wrap handlebar tape on drop bar and try to cover the clamp portion of the adapter with tape.

As pictured, the throttle is actuated by the right index or middle finger while riding on the hoods. There is another style of throttle with dual levers that could be actuated when riding on the drops. The adapter can also be installed next to the left lever if desired.

The display adapter is sandwiched between the stem/steerer and your existing cap. After installing the stem adapter, install the CYC display and line up the set screw with the dimple underneath the adapter to prevent the display from rotating.
