Description

Do you want to speed up the cooling time of the 3d model at the end of printing?
Do you need to automate a continuous printing process and want to automatically detach the model at the end of printing quickly?

This is the accessory for you! With this specific accessory for the Artillery Sidewinder X1 3D printer you can, with a few simple modifications, detailed below, add a cooling fan for the model and the bed of your printer. Below I have reported all the instructions to make the modifications to your printer and the related Gcode to add to the slicing program to be run at the end of printing to carry out the cooling process.

LIST OF MATERIALS

  • the stand
  • a 24V DC 80mm fan
  • a 5V DC relay module (use a module like shown, dont'connect relay's coil terminal directy to the 3D printer's motherboard!)
  • some screws for the fan
  • some wires

The 24V DC power supply and the board you find in the attached schematic are yet mounted in your printer, you only need to buy and mount the materials listed above.

MOUNTING PROCESS
It is necessary to open the printer and insert the relay module, making the necessary connections shown, then I recommend to route the fan power cables out of the printer from the opening where the left Z motor is connected.
The stand and the fan are mounted just behind the left Z motor of the printer, without the need to make any additional holes, just unscrew the two screws already present on the flat part of the printer and mount the support.

THE GCODE
in your printing/slicer software add the following additional Gcode to be executed at the end of the print and you are ready to go!
