Description

This is a work in process and is untested. I am an amatuer modeler at best, with just enough skill to do the basics, so anyone that wants to remix this to improve the modeling I welcome.

I love the mask design by ibdilbert (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4294445) and the methods used to maximize the surface area of the filter material by MrDWGraf (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4273090), but I found that while I was able to comfortably breathe when idle, when I would try to speak or wear the mask for longer periods of time, I would find myself running out of breath. So I decided to attempt to address some of the issues I found from prolonged use.

To maximize the surface area the Filter can be wrapped with the filer material of your choice (I use blue shop towels) and held in place using cable wrap or other methods. This design is measures out for the individual towel size (each filter uses 1/2 a towel)

The straps would leave marks due to the weight of the mask, since reducing the weight while increasing the surface area would be very difficult, I instead sought to change the center of gravity in such a way that it helped hold the mask in place and reduce the pressure on the straps themselves

The filters for the original design would also take a lot of time to cut out of the towels to make replacements for as often as I desired to change them, so I opted for a design that I could make the filters for quickly.

Finally with prolonged use, the condensation from my breath would drip down my chin. so with this design I added a place for the condensation to go and keep it off my face. A simple sponge can be used to absorb the condensation
