Description

S20 plus doesn't come with a case like my old S9, only S20 plus case I can find on thingiverse are the 2 by voodoo614 one for rigid plastic one for flexible, printed the rigid one in PETG and I can't get it onto the phone, and the method of fitting it seems dubious to me. (I might be doing it wrong for all I know...) I've been looking up cases to buy online but there are so few details and pictures it's hard to figure out if I like em or not, I need a temporary case to bring the phone to a brick and mortar with cases to go through their offerings.

I used his case as a base but added a tad more clearance on all sides and cut it down to a "bumper" style case, I've made 3 variants so far: low, tall, and tall with stripes

Low doesn't protect the sides much, it protects the corners and extends past the front of the phone to also give some protection if it lands screen down.

Tall adds more protection to the sides and has a slot for the side buttons instead of a cutout, I recommend printing that part with supports.

Tall w Stripes is the same as tall, but also has 45 degree lines crossing the back

The case fits my phone nicely, it's secure when put on and fairly easy to put on and off thing I got the balance right, always tricky, I recommend printing it in PETG or ABS or similar not PLA, PLA might work but PLA is very stiff and you need to bend the case a small amount when putting it on/off and I don't think PLA will allow for that.

The Top2 corners have more overhang than the bottom 2 so the insertion method is top first, and the removal method is bottom first.

Printed with 2 perimeters 3 solid bottom and 3 solid top layers 15% infill at 0.15mm layers, if you make it more solid it's probably too stiff to easily take on/off unless you use a more flexible filament than PETG.
