Description

I just closed the hole at the beginning of the tracer unit to a 9mm hole. It allows for the tracer to fit onto the inner barrel. Since I am 3d printing the whole gun, I didn't really need a real outer barrel, this allows the inner barrel to slide in to about where I need it. Im not sure if this tracer unit works just yet, but I do have it wired, buttoned up and lighting up. I dont have all of my gun internals to test it yet. I would print the outer body at 1 or 2 percent larger so that the inner part goes in easy. I printed mine at 101% and the inner part took some real pressure to get in and its not coming back out, no glue needed. But I was not able to push it in all the way and theres like a 3mm gap at the outlet. Thats why I say maybe 2 percent larger on the outer. I used 1 percent and it was super duper snug. I printed with no supports. My inner at .35 layer height and outer at .2mm layer height just to be a little more pretty, but .35 would be ok too.
*if they are the regular rounded top 5mm LEDs, you will have to grind/sand them down first. and put some clear nail polish on them afterwards or use polishing wheel to make them clear again. be sure to test the LEDs after doing it to make sure they arent damaged before gluing them in.
