Description

Flat X support with 40 mm fan to cool the extruder, to connect the fan make a split cable and use the attachment of the extruder cooling fan, if you use a 12 volt insert a resistor to lower the voltage from 24 to 12 volt, I used a 240 Ohm 2 watt resistor, you will need two M3 16mm screws and two M3 nuts to fix the fan and two M3 16mm screws with nut to fix the flat cable, the fan grille is interlocking, I think a very useful modification as it prevents overheating of the extruder motor with consequent possibility of loss of steps, as a fan use a silent one, I used a Noctua, it does not need to blow hard, just a little and it cools.
