Replacement Amiga A3000 Fascia and Case:

I kind-of made this "Thing" by accident. How does one you design such a thing by accident?

I rather like the A3000 aesthetic, noticed my modern Lenovo desktop is roughly the same size and thought "Wouldn't it look much better with an A3000-alike fascia on the front?" I have yet to achieve that plan but in the process of making an accurate model of an A3000 fascia plate I ended up with something that should serve very well as a replacement for a broken A3000 or for someone who wants to mount non-standard items in their A3000 and would rather not cut holes in their precious machine.
With that in mind I have included the original .123dx file so you can fiddle to your hear's content along with a few obvious options in .stl format.

This design really should just print as-is and fit the case of an original Amiga A3000 with little faffing. The keen of eye will note the screw stand-offs aren't exactly as Commodore intended, it's my belief my versions will be more robust in a 3D print. The extremely keen-eyed with note the fonts and the text aren't a perfect match; a decision I took to hopefully help improve the quality of the final 3D print.

Having gotten that far I made a 3D model for a case, mostly for the sake of the pictures. It has absolutely not been made with accuracy in mind, but may come in handy... maybe for a scale model of an A3000 or indeed as a basis for a custom PC case.

Maybe some day I will get round to the original plan!
