APS M870 Shell Toolkit

Update 30Apr2022: Added a functional Xpower compatible flower wad and Xpower compatible slug. print from TPU with no supports needed.

Update 22May2021: Cap and Wad updated for superior reliability. Extenders and Choke added.

Notes about each part:

1.) Cap - RESIN PRINT - Should work for most APS shells. You may need to print at 99% or 101% depending on your shell tolerances. Should shatter as it leaves the barrel and press fit in most APS shells

2.) Wad - RESIN OR FDM - Works as intended. You don't "need" these but they help get you some solid fps. Guaranteed not to Squib.

3.) Shell Valve Tool - FDM - Use two m2x10mm bolts and thread them in. This helps remove the caps off the back if you ever need to swap out o-rings. Very useful to not cut your hands!

4a + 4b.) +1 and +2 shell cap extenders - FDM OR RESIN - Make sure to use a longer spring. Recommend using with the Anti-Tilt follower below.

5.) 18mm Choke - FDM OR RESIN - best used with paintballs. Added a V2 that works better for choking scatter

6.) Shell Oring - BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS ONE. DANGER AND CAUTION, YOU CAN DAMAGE BOTH YOURSELF AND YOUR GEAR IF YOU DO THIS IN AN UNSAFE WAY. DO NOT PRINT THIS OUT OF ANY RIGID OR HARD MATERIAL

Print the Oring out of 95a TPU or softer, and make sure to apply safe lubrication (silicone oil is usually TPU safe). It should be a drop-in replacement but slightly stiff at first. It will wear in over time. I recommend testing with propane first just to make sure your dimensions are correct and you're holding a good seal. Also safer than co2 or higher than 800PSI.

7.) Mk1/Mk3 Shell Case - RESIN ONLY - Recommend printing in engineering grade resin, but they do work and are quite good. Fit perfect with the caps and wads here since they're perfectly designed for each other.

8.) Anti-Tilt Follower - FDM Recommended - Replaces the stock metal one and doesnt tilt. Make sure your dimensional accuracy is good and your feeding forks arent wrong and this works great.

9&10.) Slugs! - FDM TPU - You can print these solid but they wont really fit. the Rounded type do hit harder so be careful. You can get upwards of 9J depending on what scale you print these at. Print as-is for roughly 3J and 50-60ft range on co2.

11.) Flower Wad - FDM TPU - Print these flat as plated with no supports. Video for how they work with audio here

12.) Xpower Slug - FDM TPU - Print in place with no supports. They fit xpower slugs with almost no hangover and fly great
