Stanley Professional Organizer -- inserts (stackable)

These are custom inserts for the Stanley Professional Organizer. This is the shallower version of the two Standley organizers that are sold in hardware stores.

These inserts fit into the large container and subdivide it into smaller units. This version is stackable so there is a lower layer (no external walls) and an upper layer (with external walls). The upper layer is easily removable so you can access the lower layer.

The lower layer fits into the bottom of the large container. You may need to sand the outer edge of the lower layer base alightly as the tolerances of the containers vary. It is designed to fit nice and snugly into the bottom. The fit is tight enough so it doesn't fall out but can be removed with a little effort.

The upper layer is a tray that sits on top of the lower layer. It is slightly smaller than the container so it fits in perfectly. You should be able to remove it and put it back in effortlessly.

When both the lower and upper layers are inserted into the container, they should be completely flush with the top of the container.

There are multiple configurations of the inserts with differnet numbers of compartments.

A note about the file naming scheme. The large containers take up a 2x2 space in the organizer's grid system. I hjave other ones for the other cointainers so this defines which container they fit. The 2L-B and 2L-T indicates it's a 2 layer insert that is a top layer or bottom layer. The last part of the filename is the configuration in terms of colums and rows when looking at the container in portrait or vertical orientation. For example, 2x3 means 2 columns, 3 rows. The "sw" at the end of the filename indicates the top container has shorter wall height to avoid the dimples on the organizer's lid. The non-sw containers will work, but the cause the lid to bow slightly, making it easier for objects to spill from one container to the next and potentially damaging the lid.

Note: The Standley Professional Organizer is similar to the (knock-off) one sold at Harbor Freight I believe the sizing of the containers are slightly different so these inserts probably won't fit. You may be able to resize them in a slicer or CAD app to make them fit.
