Holds the blade still and prevents from rattling around in the housing when not in use. Insert plugs into the blade arbor (press in fully from the guard/baseplate side), and rests on the housing collar, centering and suspending the blade with no metal-to-metal contact. Snug up the collar capscrew and blade stays still and secure when moving/storing/shelving the Joiner.
