Description

Here is the extractor/ventilator I have made for the Anycubic MONO X.
I wanted a design that wouldn't invalidate any warranties by messing with panels and internal fans or cutting into the nice cover, that could ventilate the build chamber after printing had finished and would be pretty much silent.
I have tested this and found it to be completely effective at eliminating the resin fumes from the room I am printing in.

All the plastic parts, except fot the flex hose were printed in petg at 0.2mm layer hieght without supports. The hose is a cheap generic 25mm black polypropylene flexi tube.

I designed all the parts to fit together using cheap 10mm m3 machine screws. If you are making this you'll need a fair few - 24 if memory serves me - and they should all self tap as I've made all the holes tight but easy enough to accept a thread, this of course depends on your own print settings too so a little trial and error may be required.

The two fans are 30mm 5v fans, they are raspberry pi ones to reduce noise and power consumption but any 30mm fan will work for this, wired to a simple cheap switch and power socket that are fairly ubiquitous from the usual places.

I affixed the assembly to the MONO X with some double sided tape on the base of the surround for extra stability - it seems to be fairly ridgid but with the hose connected I wanted to be certain to avoid any imbalance that could lead to a messy accident at any point in the future.

I have included the .stl files for the hose fittings for the wall vent i made - clearly this design can be tweaked to your needs but I found a 50mm core vent perfectly sufficient.

Inside the MONO X the Z-Axis extrusion penetrates the plate and leaves a gap just below the lid sensor - if this isn't sealed fumes from the build area are pulled down by the fans housed in the base and are explelled into the room the printer is in. I printed a small loose fitting cover for this area that I then used a small piece of Kapton tape to secure in place.
The file for this part is called gap cover.stl - I have tried this part on two MONO X's and it seems there is little to no difference in the gap size so I hope this part works for you

Because there are a fair few parts the file names are;

FL = Front Left
FLSC = Front Left Side Corner
LSF = Left Side Front
LSR = Left Side Rear
RLSC = Rear Left Side Corner
RL = Rear Left
RR= Rear Righ...

....and so it continues all the way round if the unit were viewed from the front (I hope this makes sense...)
