Cu NANO Pen

An anti-microbial self sterilising pen body, requested by family working in frontline healthcare. So they have one less thing to constantly think about when trying to remain sterile all shift.

Designed based on the classic biro. The inks and ballpoint are the type found branded as Bic Cristal Original Ballpoint Pens. Cheaper biro clone ben ink and ballpoints should work as long as it fits the 4mm Dia fluted shaft on the pen body.

Design features:

-No supports
-Prints flat for strength along layer lines, prevents snapping
-Chamfers to break sharp edges
-Sacrificial bottom layer, set first layer to 0.2mm and rest to 0.1mm, combats elephants foot
-Serrated clip to prevent it slipping off a pocket
-Tapered cap with ribbing and guide rail micro features to grip the pen body firmly whilst allowing it to be removed relatively easily. Works like a stiff peg.
-Holes for lanyard or keyring attachment.
-Emboss to indicate is made of copper nanoparticle impregnated filament.
-Single breather hole, similar to a biro, to break airlock and let ink flow. small enough so if the ink cartridge leaks it should remain within the pen body and struggle to leak out.
