Filament Clip (Spring Loaded)

I've tried filament clips that attach to the spool and they're not bad but each spool is different so it's difficult finding a universal one that works well. You could also use the holes in the spools but it's not a great solution as it will deform the filament and the filament will also stick out of the spool. One thing that doesn't change though is the filament diameter so why not attach the filament to itself using a spring loaded clip? This is a spring loaded filament clip that's very lightweight (about 1.5 g). It's quick and easy to print without supports. The clip is curved so it follows the curvature of the spool. To install simply attach the filament to one side of the clip, press down through the slot and it will snap in place. Then wrap the filament around the spool one loop and attach to the other side of the clip. You can then tighten by pulling the end of the filament if you like. The clip will fit 1.75 mm filament. If someone is interested in a 2.85 mm version I could make one as well. Print Settings Printer: QIDI Tech X-Max Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.20 mm Infill: 25% Filament: Prusament ASA Galaxy Black Notes: Print it as I have set it. Print it without supports. You can use a brim if you need some extra adhesion to the build plate since the model is thin but I didn't have to.
