Description

This is an adaptor that lets you use a Pheatus Dragonfly BMS all metal hotend with your Creality Cr-6 printer while keeping the ABL sensor function

This is still a work in progress, there are a few things to improve on but I haven't had the time due to family time, also I'd like some feedback on things to improve

I haven't had the possibility to test but since the Dragonfly fit a bunch of different printers like Creality Cr 10, Cr 20, Ender 3 and 5 etc I assume that this adaptor should work with any hotend made to fit them, like the Micro Swiss all metal fot example.

I'm well aware that it's a bit inconvenient to install it to the ABL sensors, I've tried having the nuts inserted into the adaptor but then the screws end up either being to short or hitting the hotend so this is a better solution and hopefully you wont need to remove it that often. Also I made the decision to use countersunk screws since they spread the torque better and therefore are less of a risk of cracking the adaptor while installing it.

On the backside of the adaptor I have on purpose made the holes for the nuts a bit to small so you need to heat the nuts before putting them in place, this is to secure them in place since they're difficult to get to when the adaptor is in place and you try to put the hotend in place, been there done that so I'll save you the hassle ;)

To put this together you need two m3x12 countersunk screws and two locking nuts to mount the adaptor to the ABL sensor and four m3x16 and four m3 nuts to install the hotend and fan to the adaptor

Please let me know what you think of this so I can make the needed adjustments. I am planning to make version that uses a 40mm fan as well as a version to use a 50mm blower fan to cool the hotend
