Description
A full set of molecular VSEPR models, based off of a series of binary fluorides representing every commonly found covalent molecular geometry.
Molecules include:
-BeF2: Linear - Med-short bond
-BF3: Trigonal Planar - Short bond
-OF2: Bent - Short bond
-NF3: Trigonal Pyramidal - Short bond
-SiF4: Tetrahedral - Med-short bond
The partial kit includes molecules up to this point (BeF2 - SiF4)
-ClF3: T-Shaped - Med-short bond
-SF4: Seesaw - Med-short bond
-PF5: Trigonal Bipyramidal - Med-short bond
-XeF4: Square Planar - Long bond
-BrF5: Square Pyramidal - Med-long bond
-SeF6: Octahedral - Med-long bond
The full kit includes molecules up to this point (BeF2 - SeF6)
-XeF5-: Pentagonal Planar - Long bond
-AX6E1 (Approximated by IF6-): Pentagonal Pyramidal - Long bond
-IF7: Pentagonal Bipyramidal - Long bond
-IF8-: Square Antiprismatic - Long bond
The extended kit includes all molecules in this list (BeF2 - IF8-)
There are 4 bonds attached, with varying total lengths and central atom pin lengths, recommended for use as shown in the list above. The fluorine atom attaches to its designated bond pin in each molecule interchangeably, and the lone pairs (where applicable) fit in any central atom.
For a partial kit (in addition to the 5 central atoms): 3 lone pairs, 8 Short bonds, 6 Med-short bonds, and 14 fluorides are required.
For a full kit (in addition to the 11 central atoms): 9 lone pairs, 8 Short bonds, 18 Med-short bonds, 11 Med-long bonds, 4 Long bonds, and 41 fluorides are required.
For an extended kit (in addition to the 15 central atoms): 12 lone pairs, 8 Short bonds, 18 Med-short bonds, 11 Med-long bonds, 30 Long bonds, and 67 fluorides are required.
