Description

This is a remix of the Talon V2 knife by HallPrecision. The guys from HallPrecision did a great job on the design. Many thanks to everyone.
I have printed many times the original keychain for gifts to friends. I also used it in my work, which allowed me to identify some shortcomings and make my own changes.

  • Now it is possible to open the blade with one hand.
  • For more precise positioning, the slider are built on a groove-spike system. - This option has a fairly good fixation in the open position and now it is more convenient to blade update.
  • The size is even smaller.

The size tolerances are small, so for fine-tuning the parts, it will be useful to remove possible printing artifacts and work a little with a flat needle file in the grooves. It will be better to lightly lubricate the friction points with mineral oil or silicone grease (just do not overdo it, so that the grease does not get on the outside). Before assembling, rub the moving parts and check the tightness of the fit.

To put the button in place, you need apply pressure from the back side with force on the ledge the spring.

  • Теперь возможно открыть лезвие одной рукой. Механизм с пружиной так же печатается.
  • Для более точного позиционирования, подвижная механика построена на системе паз-шип. - Этот вариант имеет достаточно хорошую фиксацию в открытом положении и это более удобно, что бы заменить лезвие.
  • Размер стал ещё меньше, а крепление для ключей прочнее.

Допуски в размерах небольшие, поэтому для доводки деталей будет нелишним удалить возможные артефакты печати и немного поработать плоским надфилем в пазах. Места трения будет лучше слегка смазать минеральным маслом или силиконовой смазкой (только не перестарайтесь, что бы смазка не попала на внешние стороны). Перед сборкой лучше притереть движущиеся части.

Что бы поставить кнопку на место, нужно с обратной стороны надавить с усилием на выступ на пружине.
